The guesthouse commands a breathtakingly beautiful view of the Knysna Lagoon stretching all the way to the famous Knysna Heads. The garden and small indigenous forest attract wildlife and an abundance of birds – from the elusive Knysna Loerie to the iridescent sunbirds and humble wagtails. Enjoy their antics while relaxing on a lounger next to the pool, before venturing down the hill to discover and experience all that Knysna and the Garden Route has to offer.
Each of the five individually appointed rooms has unique and beautiful views. The rooms have their own character and have been individually created and named and gorgeously decorated with the ideas and artwork of talented South African artists.
Paradise:
Luxury suite at the top of the three floors with a birds-eye view over the forest and Knysna Lagoon into the Knysna Heads beyond. The king-size bed faces onto double glass doors leading out to a private balcony set above the indigenous forest. Screened from the bedroom by wooden shutters, the spacious bathroom has a separate shower and an elevated, over-sized bath which, too, boasts a spectacular view.
Forest:
A modern and sumptuous room spanning the entire lower floor. The Forest Room and private deck is cocooned by the forest with glimpses of the Knysna Lagoon through the trees. Designed to capture the imagination with stunning individual touches and luxurious appointments. The sumptuous king size bed (that can also convert to two single beds) allows views out through the large sliding door into the forest and the lagoon beyond. This large open-plan room is spacious but cocooned and includes a bath and separate shower, a reading corner and wall mounted television and a work nook. Connect with the forest and the sound of birdsong from the private deck and relax with a good book in the sun or indoors in your own reading nook.
Sunbird:
A light and spacious suite with separate en-suite bathroom and dressing room. Chandeliers, antiques, original artwork and a bath with a view are some of the features of this room of relaxed comfort. Situated on the middle level, the room is light filled and spacious opening onto the garden on one side and overlooking the forest and lagoon on the other. A private balcony overlooks the stunning Knysna lagoon, and is the perfect place form which to enjoy the sunset (or an early morning coffee).
This ultra-luxurious room has either king-size or single beds and a comfortable lounge area with satellite television. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and separate shower and many other fine touches to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.
No Matata (No Worries):
A spacious and airy room with en-suite bathroom and reading / TV space (or capacity for a third bed if required). Large sliding doors open to a deck overlooking the pool and garden with glimpses of the Lagoon and Knysna Heads. Queen size bed (with the option of an additional bed if required) and a seating area with satellite TV, music and CD selection. The en-suite bathrooms include a bath and separate shower.
Sivuyile (Be Happy):
A spacious and airy room with en-suite bathroom and reading / TV space (or capacity for a third bed if required). Large sliding doors open to a deck overlooking the pool and garden with glimpses of the Lagoon and Knysna Heads. Queen size bed (with the option of an additional bed if required) and a seating area with satellite TV, music and CD selection. The en-suite bathrooms include a bath and separate shower.

All guests are welcome to relax and enjoy a drink in the elegant guest bar. Help yourself to complimentary rinks form the fridge and fully stocked bar. Alternatively enjoy a shot of espresso or a pot of hot tea at the poolside or on your private deck. After a peaceful night’s rest, contemplate the day ahead over a scrumptious breakfast served under umbrellas on the patio or in the dining room.
