Bush Chalet:

Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of these free standing luxury units with en-suite bathroom.

 

Your private viewing deck overlooks the main waterhole frequented by buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and other wildlife.

 

The bush chalets are stylishly decorated and fitted with TV/ DSTV, telephone, tea / coffee facilities, mini bar fridge, air-conditioning and other creature comforts.

Game Viewing:

Enjoy sunset and sunrise game drives in an open Landrover with your experienced ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant,white rhino, buffalo and cheetah.

 

The reserve is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as Bontebok, red hartebeest, kudu, eland, impala, springbuck and many more.

 

Game drives take between 2 and 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting. There will be a coffee stop on the morning drive and a sundowner stop on the evening drive.

 

It is advisable to bring warm clothes along for the drive even in hot summer months. Your game ranger will provide ponchos and warm blankets and has a bird book and binoculars. Remember to bring your camera and video camera with you.

 

After your morning game drive and breakfast, join in the guided tour of the Reptile Centre.

 

Restaurant:

Dining is a relaxed affair where guests get a chance to discuss the days game viewing and make new friends.

 

Offering guests an interactive dining experience where safari cuisine is prepared by the chef to your liking. Friendly and attentive waiters are on hand to explain the menu or advise you on a selection of fine South African wines. The expansive wooden decks overlooking the valleys below allow guests to relax and unwind to the sounds of the African night.

Kids on Safari:

Parents can relax while the little ones play and learn important conservation messages at the same time.

 

The Skull Garden is made up of a collection of skulls ranging from Africa’s largest land mammals and some of the smallest. A stroll through the Skull Garden is a popular activity with children (and adults).

 

Allow your game ranger to explain which skull belongs to which mammal. This activity takes place where there are no dangerous animals,so can be enjoyed guided or unguided.

 

Reptile Centre:

From the deadly black mamba to the African rock python – the Reptile Centre is home to 28 different snake species, Nile crocodiles,tortoises and terrapins.

 

The collection of snakes includes most local species one would encounter in South Africa as well as some exotic species.

 

The guided tour will allow you a chance to handle some of the non venomous snakes if you are brave enough including the African python,corn snake, ball python, milk snake and albino Burmese python, great for photo opportunities.

 

Bird Watching:

The Bird Walk takes the visitor on a lovely safe walking trail dotted with information boards displaying information and colour photographs of birds and mammals they can expect to encounter on the walk.

 

This activity takes place in an area where thereare no dangerous animals so can be enjoyed guided or unguided.
