The Post House was originally constructed in 1860 and is one of the oldest buildings in Greyton. The main building was used as a trading post and lodging for tired travellers. The Post House country pub, which is well known for the Bells whiskey advert, was also once Greyton’s post office.

The Post House was proclaimed a National Monument on 28 December 1993 and the unveiling of the plaque was done by former State President F.W. de Klerk.

The Guest rooms and restaurant have recently been elegantly refurbished and offer guests accommodation for weekend getaways, midweek conferences and intimate country weddings.

Greyton boasts a variety of art galleries, restaurants, coffee shops and quaint stores.

Greyton is fast becoming a popular mountain biking town offering routes for all levels of riders. Annual mountain biking events take place throughout the year. Greyton has proudly hosted the ABSA Cape Epic in 2009 and again in 2014.
